BIOGRAPHY

Francisco Guerreiro is a independent Portuguese Member of the European Parliament in the Greens/EFA group.

He´s a member of the Agriculture and Rural Development (AGRI), Fisheries (PECH), Budgets (BUDGET) and also Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO) Committees as well as Vice President of the Intergroup for Animal Welfare in the European Parliament. The range of policies passes from the EU Animal Welfare legislation harmonization, to the change of the Common Agricultural Policy and the European Fisheries Fund to be more sustainable, but also touches the improvement and growth of the agro plant based industry sector.

He also worked in the interoperability of the Public Sector in the EU Internal Market but also all the annual budgets of the European Union. Lately his work focused on defending civilians, NGOs and official institutions in war scenarios such as Gaza and Ukraine but also on the EU monitoring of UAPs. He´s married, have two daughters and two adopted female cats.
